Worry not original Galaxy Tab owners, the EVO View 4G’s days as Sprint’s only 7-inch Android tablet sporting Gingerbread are officially numbered. Our Super Spies have shared some intel with us, which clearly advises that the original Samsung Galaxy Tab will be getting some post-Independence Day Gingerbread love on July 5th. The OTA update will alert Galaxy Tab owners that there is an update available and ask if they wish to download and install it. If nothing shows up come July 5th, you can also perform a manual search, by selecting “Update Android” via your tablet’s system’s settings. If you’re still one of the unlucky ones who can’t find the update, have patience, the memo states the update will roll out over a four-day period based off of Google’s servers.
