Boom! Motorola PHOTON 4G Just Got Rooted!

Posted In Featured, News - By Mark Hearn On Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011 1:42pm PDT With 1 Comment

Well that didn’t take long, did it? If you’re among the masses that picked up a Motorola PHOTON 4G this past Sunday, we’re glad to advise that root access has now been obtained! Those busy beavers over at XDA have manged to work a little mojo using the PHOTON’s HD dock, an HDMI cable and a display with an available HDMI port. This Webtop exploit was discovered by a dev/hacker by the name of edgan. Like most exploits these days, the instructions don’t seem too complex. If you’re up to the challenge and have all of the necessary equipment, hit the source link for a full walkthrough. If you manage to get things done, we’d love to hear about your experience.
