Kyocera Echo Gingerbread Pulled After Problems

Posted In News - By Mark Hearn On Wednesday, August 3rd, 2011 12:09am PDT With 2 Comments

It seems like just yesterday Kyocera Echo owners were slapping high fives as they downloaded and installed their freshly baked Gingerbread update. Oh wait it was just yesterday! Well it appears that Sprint giveth and taketh away! This time it’s for your own good. Our sneaky cam Super Spies have snagged an internal communication confirming that the Echo’s Gingerbread update has in fact officially been suspended. After a fair share of Echo owners started¬†experiencing performance issues, some people claim that they’ve been bricked!¬†The Now Network is working on relaunching the update as soon as possible. Better to see it pulled instead of sticking around wrecking people’s phones. If you’ve got the update, let us know how it’s treating you.

Thanks Diddy!
