Mysterious Sprint “All Hands” Training Called for September 11th [Update]

We’ve been getting hit with anonymous tips, which have now been confirmed by credible sources that Sprint will be having some type of “All Hands” training on Sunday September 11th. Details about the training are pretty much unknown at this time, but that won’t stop us from taking a shot at guessing what all the fuss is about. However before we do, we’d like it to be noted that our friends over at TmoNews (yes they’re our friends) have received a similar set of tips dated for September 24th. Now what could these two have in common? We’re banking on it being one of two things, either this is the much hyped introduction of the iPhone, or possibly training for the Samsung Galaxy S II. Considering how Sprint is the first U.S. carrier receiving the Galaxy S II (Friday September 16th), we’re banking on the latter. The only thing that’s hard for us to wrap our heads around is why would the two carriers be so mysterious with their employees for training on a device already announced? We’ll definitely put a pin in this one and revisit it sometime this weekend.
Update: We’ve received another piece of intel that points to the GSII, but the only conflict here is the date on the image lists September 5th – 16th, perhaps the 11th is the preferred deadline.

They wouldn’t have set up an “all hands” training for the Epic Touch. It’s a new device, but runs the same OS as many others. This also might not have anything to do with a phone. It could be a policy change or some benefit or change to the employees.
Funny T-Mobile is having one of also. September 24th. I’m guessing for galaxy s2. @bb6h22lude
No, I actually know what the training is for. It’s not iPhone, I’ll just tell you that. It’s actually not all that important to be honest.

@Mark I have worked for Sprint for the last 5 years…that picture is just STAR training, corporate and indirect sales people. It is nothing confidential, hence the generic (AOL, Yahoo!, gmail) inbox on someone’s home computer. The dates are the date the employees have to take the quiz before their managers get pissed off at them.
I would trust Korey. Many say he’s “da man” lol
The Sprint iPhone is coming, no matter what FUD is spread over the internets…
It’s for a device coming out that everyone already knows about, but I see you already updated your article
