HTC EVO Design Sees a Post-Launch Software Update

Posted In News - By Mark Hearn On Tuesday, October 25th, 2011 6:30am PDT With 3 Comments

Though it officially released two days ago, the HTC EVO Design 4G is already seeing its first software update. It is unknown exactly what version 1.19.651.0 does, but Sprint and HTC have deemed it necessary. Considering that the update is immediately following the device’s launch, we’re suspecting it’s to address a few bugs. In typical fashion the update will roll out in stages (most likely a period of four days), but you can always manually search for the update via your phone’s settings. As a heads up Sprint advises that the update may take about twenty minutes, so we suggest you tap into a WiFi connection. If you’re the owner of a shiny new EVO Design 4G and the update has hit your phone, please let us know how it’s treating you.

Yea. Have fun with squashing those bugs on your HTC EVO Design. LOL….

I’ve been carrying this phone around for about 2 months (I’m a sprint contractor), and I love it. I haven’t noticed any significant changes since the update. I did do it using 4G, and it didn’t seem like it took very long.

1.19.651.1 just came out today, though it’s listed as a security update.
