Samsung Teases Nexus Prime [Video]

Posted In News - By Mark Hearn On Wednesday, October 5th, 2011 8:29am PDT With 10 Comments

I wrestled with using this because it has long been assumed that the Nexus Prime is Verizon-bound. But if yesterday’s events have taught us anything, it’s that assuming things can leave you disappointed. Also taking into consideration that no Nexus phone has ever been a carrier exclusive, it’s highly unlikely that the next Nexus will be monogamous. With that said check out the teaser video for Samsung’s upcoming October 11th announcement, because apparently “something big is coming!” By the way take a good long look at that image above. Did you see it? Yeah we thought you did. Video after the break.

Thanks to everyone that sent this in!

I’m much more interested in this phone than the iPhone.

I wonder what those 3 dots are below the power button

  4. Sean says:

Any chance it will come to Sprint early november?

  5. Stryke504 says:

    That’s a docking station port.

  6. SprintFan says:

That phone is definitively Verizon bound., since they skipped the Galaxy II. I hope Sprint don’t make the same thing that AT&T did in getting in bed with just Apple.

  7. Daniel Bobke says:

Lots of chatter on Google+ on the video teaser. One guy has suggested that the picture shows both a tablet and a phone – I am not sure I see it.

I am hopeful that Sprint will get this either at the outset or soon after. But as Mark said, the recent events from Apple should teach us that rumors are typically people projecting their desires into a bunch of unsubstantiated statements and then packaging it up as “true”. I am looking forward to Tuesday!

I would love if the phone had inductive charging built in. I don’t know, but I feel like that is a feature is would love to have in a super phone.

Looks interesting and definitely want to get my hands on it. Just hoping the current reporting isn’t correct about it being a Verizon exclusive.
