No matter how you may feel about yesterday’s turn of events, it was still very much a big deal. Such a big deal that we were left in shock that the iPhone 4S’ official announcement came and went without a single press release from Sprint. As of writing this there isn’t even a single picture of the 4S on Sprint.com. If you go to the competition’s respected websites, it’s iPhone Central, but from the looks of things you’d almost swear it wasn’t even announced for the Now Network. It’s almost as if everyone was literally kept in the dark about this and Sprint found out with the rest of the world. Sure it will most likely be mentioned during Sprint’s upcoming conference call, but three days later? Oddly enough we’ve received an interesting tidbit of info from one of our beloved Super Spies. Though the media hasn’t received an official press release from Sprint, it appears their employees did. Be sure to check it out for chuckle or two, but be warned the iPhone love gets laid on kinda thick.

Highly opinionated and somewhat eccentric he shares his ramblings about his network of choice here at SprintFeed.

I work for Sprint and we were all just informed via e-mail that our pre-approved PTO was just canceled. Including my anniversary weekend that had been approved for months…. Over a device that had a minor redesign and could potentially bankrupt the company if it doesn’t sell like expected. I’m not very happy about this.

    Sorry to hear that SprintAnon.

I am very excited to see the wheels turning inside Sprint. I hope that they go on presale by Friday like that internal memo says.

  3. Anthony says:

That is SO BOGUS! Why would Sprint talk about AT&T and Verizon? There isn’t ANYTHING in that so-called press release that remotely looks like it came from Sprint.

  4. Perez82i says:

I don’t blame you I hate apple and with out 4g I doubt that sprint will see many new subscribers. Only people getting the iPhone are sprinters that always wanted the iPhone but sprint didn’t have it so now they will get it and be disappointed

  5. David Amodt says:

hey @sprintanon all the commissions and line additions you’ll make because of the new device will make up for that PTO.

  6. Anthony says:

I don’t think ANYTHING can make up for having to work during your anniversary weekend.

Better make sure this “minor redesign” (that Sprint never even had before), which could not only help stop the bleeding of customer contracts but could actually start swarming people into Sprint’s fold, sells like expected, or else you’ll not only be out of vacation, but out of a job, no?

  8. Anonymous says:

Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. Hopefully your spouse understands.

Probably because it’s just an internal memo. It still doesn’t seem very smart to bother mentioning at&t and VZW though.
