Epic tough 4g for family line upgrade seems to be $99 at amazon wireless.

Not to be completely clueless, but is there a real advantage in buying a phone directly from Sprint rather than on Amazon Wireless or at Best Buy? I know they can set up the phone for you there, but since I can do that myself, the $99 Amazon deal or blue ray BB deal sound pretty tempting for the Epic Touch 4G.

I NEVER buy phones from Sprint directly. Historically, I have always went to Best Buy as the local Best Buy Mobile folks here are pretty good at getting me set up (even adding a new line on my behalf when I couldn’t do it through Sprint directly). Plus, Sprint still makes you fill out rebates and crap to get the prices everyone else has in the stores (without having to file a damn rebate).

Then you get places like Wirefly and Amazon Wireless, which, at times, blows away all other competition.

Thanks! My friend was also recommending Best Buy since she likes their one-time warranty charge rather than the $7/mo Sprint coverage. Not sure if Amazon has something similar, so I’m trying to see which option is best. But I’m glad to hear it’s not necessarily the best to stick with buying from the carrier directly!

I saw this yesterday, went to the Amazon site and yes, it was $99 on individual plan upgrade; went to buy it today and it is now $129. Does anyone know why this might happen?
