Posted In News - By Mark Hearn On Wednesday, January 25th, 2012 9:29am PDT With 3 Comments

Last week we told you that Samsung’s Galaxy S devices were due for a taste of new software. With the Original Epic 4G’s update already making its rounds, Sammy and Sprint have finally decided to pull the trigger on the Epic 4G Touch’s latest software bump. Version S:D710.0.5S.EL29 brings the Carrier IQ smashing “security update,” fixes calendar updates and activates the Commercial Alert System. As with every software update, if you happen to be an early adopter, let us know how it’s treating you.

The update to my Galaxy S2 seems to help my battery life a whole lot….BUT. My display timer keeps defaulting back to 15 seconds for no reason and I am having trouble syncing (through USB) to my desktop and laptop.
