If you read the fine print, it kinda looks like if you upgrade in store then you can use the $50 towards your new phone. That is awesome!

I jumped on this Feb 1, which also happened to be my first day of upgrade eligibility. You can indeed use the $50 gift card on the spot toward the new phone. I paid $2.49 in tax and walked out with a “free” Motorola Photon — a nice upgrade for the Samsung Moment, which is indeed a clunker.
