Samsung Epic 4G Gets a Software Fix

Posted In News - By Mark Hearn On Tuesday, March 27th, 2012 9:56am PST With 5 Comments

After the Samsung Epic 4G’s last software update, word broke of the popular slider being plagued with force closes when receiving phone calls. Learning from past mistakes with sluggish software updates, Sprint and Samsung have teamed up and rolled out software version S:D700.0.5S.FC09, which fixes the call bug and adds Sprint Connection Optimizer. If you haven’t received the update yet, you can try grabbing it through your phone’s settings. If you’ve already got the new software up and running, please feel free to share your experience via the comments below.

Been running ICS MIUI for months now, no reason to update!

I’ve been looking for that, what is it called and where did you find it?

Been using Cyanogenmod’s ICS since it’s release and it has been working GREAT! Have to agree, the modded ROMs are the way to go. Why wait on the manufacturer when there are so many great ones out there.

I am debating on flashing, i am technical but clumsy. Any good places to get help?

I just Use CM9 beta1, I used all the alpha versions, but there is no reason to update to SPRINT software. I can’t believe that independant developers are coming out with ICS and sprint is trying to kill the epic.. It is still a great phone, just not dual core :(
